- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in Massachusetts
- Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA)
- Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)
- Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the AICPA
- Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Amos Tuck School, Dartmouth College
- Bachelor of Arts, With High Honors from Lehigh University
Beginning his career with a Big Four accounting firm, Mr. Goodman left to work in industry where he grew from working as a financial analyst to being vice president of finance in a service business with $75,000,000 in revenues and over 1,200 employees. Mr. Goodman has also worked in tax and consulting with one of the largest independent regional accounting firms in New England. Since 1994, Mr. Goodman has been working in his own practice.
Mr. Goodman has provided services on numerous engagements, including business valuations for divorce and estate and gift tax; forensic accounting in divorce and employee fraud; determining damages in breach of contract; and determining value in shareholder actions. Mr. Goodman performed engagements in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, construction, software development, service companies, trucking, medical care, and small businesses such as a video stores and restaurants. Mr. Goodman has been admitted as an expert in business valuation and forensic accounting in the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court and served as a Court-Appointed expert for the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court.
